Signals of Spring

Some light yard work this morning to get things going. Mostly sweeping leaves. The latest round of live oak shedding is in progress. In a month or so I'll be sweeping up the flowers of those very same trees.

For some reason, bud break on the Bradford Pears in my front yard snuck by me. Looks like it happened sometime last week.

Mountain laurel blooms appear to be just past peak. Soon there will be seed pods. I may collect and germinate some of them this year.  Maybe I can get some seedlings to plant in the backyard.
